IN MEMORIAM

These obituary photographs are presented in their mid-way point—they will only be finished once the subjects are dead and the photographs are printed in the Obituary Section of a newspaper. The subjects will be dead, but in the photographs, they are still alive. The soft edges and subtle blur allude to this limbo, as if the photographs themselves are confused. These photographs were made in spring of 2020, in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
